This outfit is part of a range which has been designed to fit into an Alice McCall collection, a designer which has a style that is young, fun and quirky and a target market of a 20-30 year old woman with a slightly higher disposable income than average.
The theme for this range is entitled, ‘Northern/Southern Hemisphere’, as the collection is to be delivered to both hemispheres at the same time, i.e. Australia in Summer while it’s Winter in the UK. To coincide with this theme the main idea for the collection is multifunctionality.
Most garments from the range can be adapted and worn in different ways or mix and matched to create lots of different looks. The collection consists of fabrics that are lightweight so they can be easily layered along with a trans-seasonal colour palette that would not look out of place whatever the weather.
This particular outfit reflects the theme of the collection as the pieces can be worn together or separately and can be layered up or taken off. The bandeau top attaches to the skirt to create a dress and the jacket buttons over the top to take you through all seasons and occasions.
